Boon

Boon grew up in A little village IN Malaysia. Spending his childhood running in the forest, Boon decided to pursue his dream in Architectural Studies in Tasmania. In the year 2006 after graduated from University of Tasmania.

 He ventured to Brisbane to start his career in Architecture. He has several years of working experience in several renowned and respected architectural firms in Brisbane.

 Boon established Boon Architecture in the year 2014. In the year 2022, Boon partnered with Jon Tiong and formed Boon and Jon Architecture.

 Boon has completed numerous residential, multi-residential and commercial projects with varieties of experience in Education, Laboratories, and other Public Sector projects throughout his career experience.

Jon

Like Boon, Jon grew up in another village in Malaysia on an Island of Borneo. He used to collect snails and fish in the creek. Daily task of feeding Nippon Chicken in the backyard (with mum’s help). Jonathan completed his studies in Architecture in Tasmania where he met Boon and clicked due to similarities in background and interest in Architecture as well as embracing each other’s dissimilarities.

Jon started his Architectural Career in Brisbane since 2005 spent majority of his career life in a local design firm (Push). He has experience in Residential, Multi-residential, Education, Commercial, Hospitalities projects, etc. Jon has also spent a few years overseas in Architectural career working on high-rise buildings, both Residential and Commercial High-rise.

In 2022 together with Boon, Jon formed Boon and Jon Architecture to pursue what we believe in.
